Tyre fitment data FAQ’s

Tyre fitment data tells you which tyre sizes are suitable for a given vehicle and wheel. It links each vehicle’s approved tyre sizes to the tyres available to buy, so customers can find the right tyre without knowing their size in advance. Boughto’s tyre fitment data does this matching for UK vehicles and connects it to Boughto’s wheel data, so retailers can sell tyres on their own or with wheels.

A tyre size such as 205/55 R16 91V breaks down into five parts. 205 is the tyre width in millimetres. 55 is the profile, the sidewall height as a percentage of the width. R means radial construction. 16 is the wheel diameter in inches. 91V is the load index and speed rating. Boughto’s tyre data matches these sizes to each vehicle, so your customers don’t need to read their tyre sidewall to buy the right tyre.

Boughto’s tyre data and wheel data share the same vehicle database. When a customer selects their vehicle, Boughto knows which wheels fit and which tyre sizes suit each of those wheels.
